BackUpcoming Developments
As the development of the Start-Up Area is mostly completed, the China-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City continues to push the boundaries of sustainable urban and smart city development. In its next phase of development, the Eco-City will focus on the Central District and City Centre which will be the heart of commercial, leisure and recreational activities to support its future growth.
With a planned area of 4.5 sqkm, the future City Centre will become a focal point of the Eco-City’s 2030 vision, which is to develop the Eco-City as a green, smart and vibrant city powered by innovation, enterprise and technology. It will also be the green, low-carbon and smart hub for the larger 150 sqkm Eco-City, with a planned population catchment of 1.3 million residents.

Residents and visitors to the City Centre can also look forward to the upcoming China-Singapore Friendship Park (under construction) and the completed China-Singapore Friendship Library that borders the City Centre. These two significant attractions are testimonies to the close bilateral ties between Singapore and China.
